Xiao Liu Ren (小六壬) is a quick Chinese divination: a number is counted round six palaces, from Da An (大安, steady) and Su Xi (速喜, quick joy) to Kong Wang (空亡, empty loss). Three palaces are lucky and three are not.

How co-fo.ai turns it into a pick
- The method normally starts with five numbers that come to the asker's mind. Nobody is asking here, so once per game, up to 36 hours before kickoff, the server draws five random numbers from 0 to 99. They are never redrawn.
- The first number lands on one of the six palaces: a lucky palace scores +1, an unlucky one −1.
- The second and third numbers build a Plum Blossom hexagram. The trigram without the moving line is the home team, scored on how the other trigram feeds or attacks it in the original, mutual and changed hexagrams, and on the season.
- The fourth number sets the earth position of a Jin Kou Jue chart cast for the hour of the game. That position is the home team, scored on how the three spirits above it feed or attack it. The fifth number only gives timing and is not scored.
- The three scores are added. Above zero is a home pick, below zero an away pick, exactly zero no pick. In soccer, a total from −1 to +1 calls the draw.
- The side is graded twice at one flat stake: on the moneyline, and against the spread where one is posted. A soccer draw call has no spread pick.
Why a divination control?
A reading knows nothing about the teams. That is the point: it shows what a record built with no information looks like, on the same games, at the same odds and graded the same way as the rules engine. A rule is worth something only if it clearly beats it.
